Regrettably, a month in China only taught me two words:
- Ni hao, which means “Hello” Listen here.
- Xie xie, which means “Thanks” Listen here.
That’s right – I didn’t even learn the word for “please.” It’s not because I’m rude though; it isn’t commonly used in China.
