Preparing to say I VOTED!

The fervor for mid-term elections here in the U.S. is building each day as November 2nd, 2010 approaches.

Our nation, like many around the globe, is dealing with record job losses, out-of-control deficit spending, broken (or unattainable) promises by politicians, and economic challenges on all sides.

So what is a person to do?

Well, in a democratic society the solution for each of us is to vote for new leaders whom we feel are better able to solve our problems. Or that is the hope…

With our society’s insatiable desire for fresh news as soon as possible, some big players have teamed up to bring us the I VOTED website.

I VOTED

What is I VOTED all about? The site is a product of location-based social network FOUR SQUARE – which according to the online tech magazine Tech Trends creates:

a dynamic map, which will display Foursquare check-ins in real-time at nearly 107,000 polling locations across the country

So you can see who is voting around the nation, and this will (hopefully) give you more reason to hit the polls yourself.

The site is partnered by some big players including:

In case you forget, the site also offers you a way and place to register with Vote 411. Check out the site and bookmark it for next week!
